NurShahila binti Amir Amzah (born on August 13, 1990), aka Shila Amzah, recorded her debut album Terima Kasih Guru (2000) when she was just 10 years old.
The daughter of musician ND Lala and actress Fauziah Sarman, Amzah developed a passion for music from a very early age and pretty much spent her childhood in recording studios. The success of her debut album led to a contract with EMI, who released Sha-Hila, her sophomore effort, in 2005.
Propelled by the hit single “Yang Teristimewa,” the album established her as one of the most popular artists in her native Malaysia. Once her contract with EMI ended in 2007, she participated in the second season of reality singing competition One in a Million, where s
